Funeral Services for David Singer 57, of Lennox SD will be Monday, July 30, 2018 at 1:30 P.M. at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Remsen, Iowa with Rev. Bill McCarthy officiating. There will be a visitation one hour prior to the service, with family present at the Fisch Funeral Home & Monument in Remsen. Interment will follow at St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery in Remsen, Iowa.
There will be a visitation from 4-7 on Sunday, July 29, 2018 at Dindot-Klusmann Chapel in Lennox, SD. Prayer Service & Rosary will be held at 5:00 p.m. with Rev. John Rader officiating.
David Singer, 57, of Lennox, SD, died Thursday, July 26, 2018 at Ava's House Hospice, Sioux Falls, SD, following a courageous battle with cancer.
David Keith Singer was born in LeMars, IA on, January 5, 1961, the son of Edward Singer and LaDonna (Schorg) Laughton. He grew up and attended school in the Remsen and LeMars areas. He went on to graduate from Western Iowa Tech with a degree in auto mechanics. He lived in Shelton, WA, before moving to Lennox, SD, where he made his home for the last 22 years. David had worked for several car dealerships until owning and operating Handyman Auto Glass in Lennox. He also drove school bus for the Lennox School District.
David was a member of St. Magdalen Catholic Church, Lennox. He was a devoted Minnesota Vikings fan and enjoyed fishing and car races. He was known for being the "best" bus driver! David's family, friends and neighbors meant the world to him.
David was preceded in death by his father: Edward Singer, his step-father: Cleo Laughton, paternal grandparents: Francis and Elizabeth Singer and maternal grandparents: Leonard and Ida Schorg.
Grateful for having shared his life are his daughter, Brandi Singer and her son, Joey, LeMars, IA; daughter, Alissa Foreman, AZ; his mother, LaDonna Laughton, LeMars, IA; sisters: Julie (Derek) Langel, LeMars, IA, Linda (Terry) VanWyhe, Ireton, IA and Karen (David) Smook, Brandon, SD, along with many nieces, nephews, other relatives and a host of friends.
