Wayne John Heidesch, 69, of Remsen, IA, died, unexpectedly, February 3, 2018, at Floyd Valley Hospital in Le Mars, Iowa.

Mass of Christian Burial will be Wednesday, Feb. 7, 2018 at 10:30 a.m. from St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Remsen, IA. Visitation with family present will be 4-5 p.m. Tuesday. There will be a parish rosary and vigil prayer service at 5 p.m. all at Fisch Funeral Home & Monument in Remsen. Condolences can be sent online e to www.fischfh.com.

Wayne was born on June 1, 1948 to Lorne and Audrey (Goebel) Heidesch in LeMars, IA. He received his education from St Mary's High School graduating in 1966.

Wayne was married to Joyce Wurth on June 8, 1968 at St Mary's church in Remsen. The couple raised their family and lived in Remsen. He worked at J&W Variety and drove school bus for the Remsen school system for over 40 years.  

He belonged to the Catholic Order of Foresters and was an O-R Saddle Club member. He loved to hunt and fish and spend time with his family.

He is survived by his wife Joyce Heidesch of Remsen. Children, Kate (Jerry) Reuter of LeMars, Kelli (Luke) Paskert of Ankeny, IA. and Scott (Mendy) Heidesch of West Des Moines, IA. 11 grandchildren. 2 great grandchildren. Siblings, Mary (Keith) Arens of Remsen, Lynn (Joe) Even of Omaha, NE., Betty (Curt) Bisguard of Yankton, SD., Kris (Jim) Pottebaum of Hospers, IA., Jim (Peg) Heidesch of Remsen, John (Judy) Heidesch of Marcus, along with numerous nieces and nephews and great friends.

Preceded in death by his parents, Lorne and Audrey, Grandson, Keaton Reuter, Sisters, Jean, Joyce and LuAnne Heidesch. Nephews, Ben Arens, Hunter Heidesch.

Casket bearers will be Gerad Heidesch, Brandon Pottebaum, Mitchell Arens, Matt Even, Sawyer Heidesch and Sam Bisgard.

Honorary Bearers will be the members of the Catholic Order of Foresters.
