Beverly Ann Stoos, age 54 of Remsen, IA died Friday, Aug. 27, 2021 in her home surrounded by family.            

Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:30 a.m., Tuesday, August 31, 2021 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Remsen, IA with Father Timothy Pick officiating and Deacon Doug Heeren assisting.  Burial will follow at St. Mary’s Cemetery in Remsen, IA.  Visitation with family present will be 4-7 p.m. Monday, there will be a parish rosary and a vigil prayer service at 5 p.m. all at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Remsen.  Visitation will resume 1 hour prior to the funeral on Tuesday and be moved to the Fisch Funeral Home & Monument in Remsen.

Bev was born on March 10th, 1967, to William “Bill” and Martha “Pod” (Felts) Wurth in LeMars, Iowa. She was raised on the family farm south of Remsen and attended High School at Remsen-Union graduating in 1985.  

She married the love of her life, Jeffrey Stoos on July 20th, 1985, at Remsen St. Mary’s Church. She lived in Remsen, Iowa, moved to North Cape May, New Jersey briefly before moving back to Remsen. She worked at Majeres Foodtown and Nielsen-Galles Insurance.  

She was an active member of the St. Mary’s Catholic Church where she was a lector and lay minister, and the Christian Mothers. She loved spending her time riding motorcycles with Jeff, quilting, crafting, working on the family farm, watching her kids sporting events and activities, and spoiling her grandchildren. She spent countless hours making personalized quilts for all her nieces and nephews for graduations, special occasions, and as donations to charity events that will be forever cherished. Bev loved to volunteer her time and seized any opportunity to pay-it-forward. She was a very loving and caring person that would never hesitate to go out of her way to help someone. 

She is survived by her husband Jeffrey Stoos of Remsen, IA; children, Jason (Melissa) Stoos and their son Asher of Ankeny, IA; Zachary Stoos (ReBecca Olsen) and their children Chesley and Lane of Ankeny, IA; Cassandra (Shawn) Parks and their children Rhyker and Sutton of Ankeny, IA; Her mother, Martha Wurth of Remsen and her brothers, Robert Wurth of Sioux City, IA,  Mike (Dixie) Wurth of LeMars, IA, Mark (Barb) Wurth of Leeds, IA and Marty Wurth of Cedar Falls, IA; Mother-in-law, Sue Stoos of Remsen, IA; brothers and sisters-in-law, Jodi (Nick) Ruba of Balsam Lake, WI, Brian (Sharon) Stoos of Le Mars, IA, Chris (Kim) Stoos of Sergeant Bluff, IA, Beth (Dave) Tentinger of Remsen, IA, Kara (Kelly) Thompson of Eagan, MN.

She is preceded in death by her father William Wurth, father-in-law Richard Stoos, her paternal and maternal grandparents, and several aunts and uncles.  

Casket bearers will be Nick Wurth, Cody Stoos, Ali Ruba, Josh Stoos, Anthony Wurth, Molly Stoos, Colby Stoos and Bryce Tentinger. 

Honorary bearers will be Jordan Ruba, Danika Wuebben, Madison Tentinger, Brianna Tentinger, Jaxon Thompson, Evelyn Thompson, Ashley Wurth and Nicole Schroeder.
