Charlette Ann Schaa

Charlette Ann Schaa, age 79 of Granville, IA died Saturday, Aug. 24, 2019 at Sanford Senior Care in Sheldon, IA.  

Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:30 AM, Thursday, Aug. 29, 2019 at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Granville, IA, with Father Daniel Greving officiating and Deacon Dan Goebel assisting. Burial will follow in the St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery in Granville.  Visitation with family present will be Wednesday from 4-7 PM, there will be a rosary and a vigil prayer service at 5 p.m. all at the Church in Granville. Visitation will resume one hour prior to the service on Thursday at the church.  Services have been entrusted to Fisch Funeral Home & Monument in Remsen, IA.  Condolences maybe sent online to www.fischfh.com.
 
Charlette was born on July 14, 1940 the daughter of Alvin and Alma (Wiese) Scheiber in Lake Benton, MN. She was raised in Worthington, MN and receiver her education from Worthington High School.
 
On June 21, 1958 Charlette was united in marriage to Harry Schaa at Heron Lake, MN.  Harry and Charlette trucked cross country together for 16 years.  In her spare time she loved time with Harry going for rides and spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Harry died April 28, 2016.

Charlette is survived by her children, daughter Peggy Sue Schaa of Allen, NE, daughter, Theresa (Barry) Gordon of Ramona, SD, son, Steve (Karla) Schaa of Mercer, PA, daughter, Janet (Jim) Heilman of Orange City, IA, daughter, Lisa (Matt) Meendering of Clive, IA; 14 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; siblings, Jeanette Rolfes of Slayton, MN, Darlette Rolfes of Slayton, MN, Arlyn (Barb) Scheiber of Dodge Center, MN, Merlyn (JoAnn) Scheiber of Sioux Falls, SD, Garnette Ulrich, of Belle Fourch, SD, Annette (Jim) Honerman of Adrian, MN, Lynette King of Phoenix, AZ, Connie and Muriel Schaa; brothers and sisters-in-law, Darlene (Lowell) Van Briesen of Ashton, Margie (Leister) Bowling of Sparta, MO, Kathy Meinen of Mt. Pleasant, IA, Patty Tjepkes and friend Arnie Dwire of Ashton, Carl (Karla) Schaa of Ashton, IA, Dave (Rosie) Schaa of Mead, CO, Rose Ann Tewald of Spencer, IA, Maxine Feekes of Sioux Center, IA, Linda Schaa of Ashton and Mike Schaa of Ashton; and many nieces, nephews and cousins. 
 
She was preceded in death by her parents, Alvin (Alma) Scheiber, her husband, Harry, Harry’s parents, Harry and Mildred Schaa, one son, Daniel, one brother, Duane (Norma) Scheiber, two sisters, Harriette and Paulette Scheiber, five brothers-in-law, Tom King, Ben, Bob and Kenneth Schaa, Dan Meinen.

Casket bearers Isaac Verzani, Nate Mosterd, Jon Verzani, Nic Meendering, Tom Even III and Ben Meendering.
