Dale L. Stoos

Dale Stoos, 51 years old, of Remsen, IA, died Tuesday, March 2, 2010, after several years of fighting cancer at Floyd Valley Hospital in LeMars, IA.
     Funeral service will be at 10:30 a.m., Friday, March 5, 2010, at Fisch Funeral Home & Monument in Remsen with Rev. William McCarthy & Rev. Timothy Johnson officiating.  Burial will be in St. Mary’s Catholic Cemetery in Remsen at 2 p.m on Saturday March 6, 2010.  Visitation will be anytime after 2 p.m. on Thursday, March 4, 2010.  There will be a parish rosary at 3 p.m., and vigil prayer service at 7:30 p.m., all at the Fisch Funeral Home & Monument in Remsen.
     Dale was born June 3, 1958, at LeMars, IA, the son of Jerome & Helen (Gollhofer) Stoos. Dale was raised inn Remsen & graduated from Remsen Union High School in 1976.  After working in a packing plant for several years he opened Remsen Hardware in 1986.  Hardware and helping people became his passion.  He also purchased a hardware store in Marcus, IA in 2007 and then sold it to Tanya Judge in 2010, she had been store manager.  Dale will be Missed by family, friends and coworkers.  
     Survivors include:  Three brothers, Thomas L. Stoos & his wife Shirley of Remsen, Ronald J. Stoos & his wife Joyce E. of Lonsdale, MN, Gary J. Stoos of Remsen; One sister, Marlene Bragg & her husband Jim of Dugway Utah; Also Several Nieces & Nephews.
     He was preceded in death by his mother Helen in 1984 and his father Jerome in 2004.
