Donald E. 'Breeze' Schwarz, 79 years old, of Granville, IA, died Wednesday, May 17, 2017, at Happy Siesta Health Care Center in Remsen, IA.

Memorial service will be at 10:30 a.m., Thursday, May 25 , 2017, at Fisch Funeral Home & Monument in Remsen with Rev. William McCarthy officiating. Burial will follow in the St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery in Granville, IA with Rev. Terry Roder officiating. Visitation will be 1 hour prior to the service on Thursday. Services have been entrusted to Fisch Funeral Home & Monument in Remsen.

Don was born on Mar. 3, 1938, at Granville, IA the son of Frank & Agnes (Kobberman) Schwarz. He was raised and educated in Granville and attended public school. He then helped area farmers and did odd jobs in the community.

Survivors include: his sister, Doris Pottebaum of Alton, IA and one sister-in-law, Darlene Schwarz of Sheldon, IA. Numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by, his parents, and four brothers, Frank Jr., Gerald, Richard (Janice) and Ronald in infancy.
