Francie “Bibs” Homan, 85 years old, of Remsen, IA, passed away Friday, Oct. 12, 2012 At Floyd Valley Hospital in LeMars, IA.
        Funeral service will be at 10:30 a.m., Monday, Oct. 15, 2012, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Remsen with Rev. William McCarthy officiating.  Burial will be in the St. Mary’s Catholic Cemetery in Remsen.  Visitation will be anytime after 4 p.m. on Sunday, Oct. 14, 2012.  There will be a parish rosary at 5 p.m. and a vigil prayer service at 6:30 p.m. all at Fisch Funeral Home & Monument in Remsen.
        Bibs was born Nov. 11, 1926, at Alton, IA, the daughter of Frank & Mary (Konz) Mousel.  She was raised and educated near Alton and attended St. Mary’s Academy.
        On Jan. 28, 1946 she married Loyal Homan at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Alton.  They worked side by side together on a farm southwest of Remsen.  Loyal died Dec. 31, 1997.
        Bibs was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church & church guild, Catholic Daughters of America, The Missions.  Bibs was a volunteer for Happy Siesta Auxillary & the Oscar Cash Program. She enjoyed spending time with family, sewing, crocheting, golfing & bowling.  She also enjoyed going out with her lady friends & traveling.
        Survivors include; her daughter Kim (Randy) Frericks of LeMars, IA & their children, Justin (Katie) Frericks & Gina Mae & her special friend Adam Hageman; her daughter-in-law, Bev Homan & her children, Chad Homan & his special friend Nicole Arnold of Remsen, Ryann (Aaron) Arnold of Omaha, NE;  Great Grandchild, Dryver Homan;  Three brothers-in-law, Lee Roy Jenness of Cherokee, IA, Dale (Sharon) Homan of Remsen, Don (Helen) Pick of Oyens, IA;  One sister-in-law, Delia Homan of Remsen.  Numerous nieces & nephews
        Preceded by: her parents; her son, Harvey Homan, four brothers, Arnold (Ann), Ray (Millie), Clarence (Olie) & (Gin) & LeRoy “Bud” (Gerry) Mousel;  five sisters, Darlene (Ray) Mousel, Irene (Otto) Pottebaum, Evelyn (Tony) Ney, Elvira (Kenny) Arens, Pearl Jenness.
        Casket Bearers will be:  Chad Homan, Nicole, Ryann & Aaron Arnold, Justin, Katie & Gina Mae Frericks, Adam Hageman.
