Hunter Jack Heidesch

Awesome Hunter Jack Heidesch took his first breath on May 29, 1991 in Federal Way, Washington and his last breath on August 2, 2011 in Nebraska. He was the first born son of John and Judy (Christiansen) Heidesch and just after the birth of his brother Sawyer the family moved to Iowa. The boys grew up in Marcus and Hunter was confirmed by Pastor Don Meyer and a member of Christ Lutheran Church in Remsen. He graduated from Marcus-Meriden-Cleghorn High School in 2009. 
      Ready to start his junior year at the University of South Dakota in Vermillion for a political science major and a psychology minor Hunter was quite well known on campus. He was working at Gavin's Point Dam for the Army Corps of Engineers throughout this historical dam time and he loved his job.
      Hunter achieved the rank of Eagle Scout with Troop 113 of Marcus and was a member of the Order of the Arrow within the scouting program. USD Chapter of the Phi Delta Theta Fraternity is proud of his membership with them and all who have ever met him call Hunter a friend.
      His greatest enjoyments: good music, whether playing it in his high school band, pep band or jazz band, or listening to it with great friends; spending time with his family; camping, hunting or fishing, and at all times he loved a spirited debate.
      Hunter is survived by his parents John and Judy and brother Sawyer. He was able to spend time with his Grandmothers Audrey Heidesch of Remsen and Janet LM Christiansen of Norfolk, NE: three uncles, Martin (and Caroline) Christiansen stationed in St Louis, MO, Wayne (Joyce) Heidesch and Jim (Peg) Heidesch all of Remsen; and five aunts: Deb (Kevin) Olson of Norfolk, NE, Mary (Keith) Arens of Remsen, IA, Lynn (Joe) Even of Omaha,NE,  Betty (Curt) Bisgard of Yankton, SD and Kris (Jim) Pottebaum of Hospers, IA.
      He is preceded by his Grandfathers Lorne Heidesch and Lou Christiansen, four aunts Joyce, Lu Ann, and Jean Heidesch, and Cindy Christiansen Reason, and two cousins Ben Arens and Keaton Reuter.
      Celebrating the life of Awesome Hunter Jack Heidesch will be done at the Marcus-Meriden-Cleghorn High School Gymnasium beginning with family visitation at 5:00 pm on Saturday, August 6th, prayer service begins at 7. Please let us know if you wish to share your memories of Hunter with us. On Sunday, visitation will resume from 1p.m. until service time with the Celebration Service by Pastors Dennis Martens and Don Meyer beginning at 3pm. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Fisch Funeral Home & Monument in Remsen. Thanks to all of you from Hunter and family
