Jo Ann Sudtelgte

Jo Ann Sudtelgte, 59 years old, of Remsen, IA, died Tuesday, June 7, 2011, at her home in Remsen, IA.         Funeral service will be at 10:30 a.m., Monday, June 13, 2011, at St. Mary Catholic Church in Remsen with Rev. William McCarthy & Deacon Rick Roder officiating.  Burial will be in the St. Mary Catholic Cemetery in Remsen.  Visitation will be anytime after 3 p.m. on Sunday, June 12, 2011.  There will be a parish rosary at 4 p.m. and a vigil prayer service at 7 p.m. followed by a Catholic Order of Foresters Rosary all at the St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Remsen. Services have been entrusted to Fisch Funeral Home & Monument in Remsen, IA.  Condolences may be sent online to www.fischfh.com.        Jo Ann was born June 21, 1951, at LeMars, IA, the daughter of LeRoy & Maxine (Kilker) Rolling.Jo Ann was raised in the Oyens area & graduated from St. Mary’s High School with the class of 1969.  On Sept. 9, 1972 she married Mark Sudtelgte at St. Catherine’s Catholic Church in Oyens.  Since 1973 she lived in the Remsen area doing in home daycare and then for the past 20 years she worked as a department manager at Walmart in LeMars.          Jo Ann was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church & church guild, Catholic Order of Foresters.  She thoroughly enjoyed being a grandma & a mother to her three children.  Jo Ann had an amazing faith in Jesus Christ and she knew she was saved.  She had a wonderful collection of rocks & angels.  We will never look at a rock the same.          Survivors include; her husband, Mark of Remsen; Daughter, Anita Penning & her husband Talon & their children, Audra Jo & Andrea Ann of Remsen; Daughter, Angela Graham & her husband Robert & their children, Elsie & Simon of Spencer, IA; One son, Kyle Sudtelgte & his wife Angela (Plathe) of Chicago, IL; Two sisters, Marilyn Maly & her husband Marvin of Onawa, IA, Marie Benedix of Correctionville, IA; Five brothers, Russ Rolling & his wife Pam of Oyens, IA, Jim Rolling of Glenwood, IA, Larry Rolling of LeMars, IA, Kirk Rolling of Oyens, IA, Glenn Rolling & his wife Julie of Hinton, IA; Her mother-in-law, Audrey Sudtelgte & her special friend Bill Rogers of Remsen;  Two sister-in-laws, Marlene Sitzmann & her husband Curt of LeMars, IA, Ann Johnson & her husband Terry of Colorado Springs, CO; Five brothers-in-law, Lyle Schuetz of Alton, IA, Paul Sudtelgte & his wife Deb of Colorado Springs, CO, John Sudtelgte & his wife Patty of Payson, AZ, Dave Sudtelgte & his wife Deb of Lakeland, MN, Kenneth Sudtelgte & his wife Connie of Remsen; Numerous nieces & nephews.        Preceded by: Her parents, a grandson Derek Penning, one sister, Janice Schuetz, one brother, Robert Rolling, one nephew, Patrick Sitzmann, one sister-in-law, LeAnn Rolling, one brother-in-law, Robert Benedix, her father-in-law, Earl Sudtelgte.        Casket Bearers will be: Jim, Russ, Larry, Glenn & Kirk Rolling, Ken Schuetz.        C.O.F.  Honorary Bearers will be: Larry, Ann, Jim, Lavonne & Randy Galles, Don & Gin Konz, Lyle & Ethel Heidesch, Fred Roling, Linda Schroeder & Ervin Ahlers.              In lieu of flowers the family requests memorials be directed to Father Lloyd Fiedler &  Lar Batista Biblico (an orphanage in Brazil that Jo Ann supported).
