Lisa Kaye Tucker, age 57 of Remsen, IA, passed away Friday, Dec. 25, 2020 at her home in Remsen.
Memorial service will be 11:15 a.m. Saturday, March 6, 2021 at Christ Lutheran Church LCMS in Remsen, with Pastor Garret Kasper officiating. Burial will follow at the Oakhill Cemetery in Cherokee. Visitation with family present will be 2 hours prior to the service on Saturday at the church. Services have been entrusted to Fisch Funeral Home & Monument in Remsen.
Lisa Kaye Nehring was born July 24, 1963 at Storm Lake, IA, the daughter of Richard & Diane (Johnson) Nehring. She was raised and educated in Cherokee, IA graduating from Washington High School in 1981.
On Sept. 18, 1984 she married Roy Tucker at Sioux Falls, SD. Over the years the couple lived in Sioux Falls and Cherokee. Lisa was the shoe department manager at Kmart for 24 years. The couple then moved to Remsen and established Tucker Photo in Remsen, where Lisa was the office manager and photographer for 15 years.
She was a member Christ Lutheran Church LCMS in Remsen, past member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Cherokee, LMWL and Ladies Aid. She loved spending time with her children, traveling the country and working with her husband Roy. She and Roy also enjoyed hosting 6 exchange students, Richard, Shin Woo, Cristina, Mats-Ole, Luis and Bektur.
She is survived by her husband Roy of Remsen; her son, Greggari (Meredith) Tucker of Little Rock, AR; her daughter, Steffani (Josh) Mahan of Irvine, CA; her father, Richard (Rose) Nehring of Des Moines; one sister, Dawn (Tom) Zoch of Kingsley, IA; two brothers, Paul (Chris) Nehring of Englewood, OH, David (Yolanda) Nehring of Remsen; brother-in-law, Alan (Pillar) Johnson of Waterloo, IA; sister-in-law, Denise (Michael) Christensen of Cuyahoga Falls, OH; and a great amount of much loved aunts, uncles, cousins, nephews & nieces.
She was preceded by her Mother, Diane Nehring; paternal grandparents, Wendolyn & Evelyn (Sievers) Nehring; maternal grandparents, Mayford & Eileen (Borcherding) Johnson; brother-in-law, Dale Tucker.
