Myrna Joy (Dunn) Krogman, 75 years old, of Ottertail, MN and formerly of Alton, IA, died Thursday, Nov. 21, 2013 at her home in Ottertail.
Funeral service will be at 10:30 a.m., Monday, Nov. 25, 2013, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Alton with Rev. Terry Roder officiating. Burial will be in the St. Mary’s Catholic Cemetery in Alton. Visitation will be anytime after 4 p.m. on Sunday, Nov. 24, 2013. There will be a parish rosary at 5 p.m. & a vigil prayer service at 7 p.m., all at the St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Alton. Services have been entrusted to Fisch Funeral Home & Monument in Remsen.
Myrna was born Jan. 18, 1938, at LeMars, IA, the daughter of Marvin & Rita (Plendl) Dunn. She was raised and educated in the Remsen area and graduated from St. Mary’s High School in 1957. She then attended Cosmetology College in Sioux City.
On May 3, 1958 she married John (Jack) Krogman at St. Catherine’s Church in Oyens, IA. They began a family in Alton raising four beautiful children; Tim, Mark, Karla and Kevin.
Myrna was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church where she was known for decorating the church with her beautiful home grown flowers, she was also a member of St. Mary’s Rosary Society. Myrna attended St. Lawrence Church with her husband in Rush Lake, MN. She enjoyed golfing, fishing and family.
Myrna and Jack retired to Ottertail, MN in 1998 to be closer to her sisters, Carol Nacke and Jo Ellen Seidel. They loved the lake life and all of their extended family and friends that made Ottertail home. Myrna was a dedicated Wife, Mother and Grandma and will be deeply missed.
Survivors include: her loving husband, Jack of Ottertail, MN; her children, Tim (Ed) Krogman of Dunedin, FL, Mark (Lori) Krogman of Southlake, TX, Kevin (Paula) Krogman of Sioux Falls, SD, Karla Krogman (Rob Sauer) of Omaha, NE; 9 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren; sisters, Carol (Earl) Nacke of Richville, MN, Jo Ellen (Paul) Seidel of Clitherall, MN; two brothers-in-law, Don (Mary Ann) Krogman of LeMars, IA, Jim (Doris) Krogman of Remsen, IA; one sister-in-law, Mary (Wayne) Bailey of Alton, IA.
Preceded by: her parents.
Casket Bearers will be, Brody Krogman, John Krogman, Russ Nacke, Dean Seidel, John Seidel, Matt Peterson.
Honorary Bearers will be her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
