Pete Alvis Thill

Peter “Pete” Alvis Thill,68 years old, of Sioux City, IA, passed away Thursday, Aug. 1, 2019, at Touchstone Living Center in Sioux City, IA.          

Celebration of life visitation will be 5-7 p.m. on Thursday Aug. 8, 2019 at Fisch Funeral Home & Monument in Remsen.
           
Pete was born March 11, 1951, at Le Mars, IA, the son of Vernon & Grace (Oberman) Thill. He was raised and educated in Remsen, graduating from Remsen Union High School in 1970.  He lived in Remsen for a few years then moved to Sioux City.  Over the years he worked construction, heavy machine operator and drove truck.  He met Katie Gengler and they had a daughter Marisa.  In 1987 he met Sue Thill who he has spent the last 30 years with.          

Pete was known to be very friendly with anyone he met. He had a great sense of humor, he loved riding his motorcycle, classic cars and he lived his life the way he wanted to.         

Survivors include; his spouse, Sue of Sioux City; his daughter Marisa (Taylor) Barrs of Sioux City, IA; one step-son, Christopher Pitts of Sioux City, IA; one grandson, Josiah Mead; 2 granddaughters, Kaitlin and Kaylea Pitts; his siblings, Romalee (Myron) Nelson of Sloan, IA, Dana Slack and Bill Pipkin of Omaha, NE, Steve (Gail) Thill of Cherokee, IA and Nina (Rick) Henry of Omaha, NE.
