Ruth (Eason) Zembsch age 84, passed away Friday, May 21, 2021 at Prairie Ridge Care Center in Orange City, IA.
Funeral Service will be 1 p.m. Thursday, May 27, 2021 at the Alton Presbyterian Church in Alton. The Rev. Harlan De Jong will officiate. Interment will follow the service at the Nassau Township Cemetery near Alton. Visitation with the family present will be Wednesday from 5-7 p.m. at the church. Visitation will resume 1 hour before the funeral on Thursday. Services have been entrusted to Fisch Funeral Home & Monument in Remsen, IA.
Ruth was born April 23, 1937 to Fred and Greta (DeJong) Eason. After graduating from Alton Public School, she attended NBT in Sioux City. She worked at Silent Sioux, she later worked at Harkers in production.
Ruth loved to sew Raggedy Ann & Andy dolls, knit Christmas socks and Afghans and crochet kitchen towels and baby blankets. Many were lucky recipients of her handy work.
Ruth is survived by her daughter Linda (Allen) Willett of Alton; two granddaughters, Kari (Kevin) Eng of Ponte Vedra, FL and Kelli Willett of Sioux Center; two great granddaughters, Stella and Eleanor Eng; her sister, Eulyn (Lee) Riemersma of Spirit Lake, IA; two nieces, Sara (Billy) Gilbert and their children Trinity, William, CJ and Ben. Sally (Steve) Rindfuss and their children Gabe and Lilly.
Ruth is preceded in death by a son, Leon Zembsch, her parents and a nephew, Chad Riemersma Casket bearers will be her family.
