Timothy R. Kelley, age 66 of Remsen, IA passed away Saturday, June 5, 2021 at Avera McKennan Hospital & University Health Center in Sioux Falls, SD.
Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, June 9, 2021 at St Mary’s Catholic Church in Remsen, IA with Father William McCarthy officiating. Burial will be at a later date in the St. Mary’s Cemetery in Remsen, IA. Visitation with family present will be 4-7 p.m. on Tuesday with a parish rosary and vigil prayer service at 5 p.m. all at Fisch Funeral Home & Monument in Remsen. Visitation will resume 1 hour prior to the service on Wednesday at the funeral home.
Tim was born May 18, 1955 in Le Mars, IA, the son of Patrick LeRoy & LaVonne Faye (Schuchard) Kelley. He grew up in Remsen and graduated from Remsen-Union High School in 1973.
Tim Married Donna Tentinger on August 28, 1982 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Remsen. To this union Lisa and Matt were born.
Tim worked at Wilson Foods in Cherokee, IA from 1973 to 1991. He worked at United Parcel Service from 1991 to 2019 until his retirement.
He was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Remsen. He loved his Notre Dame Fighting Irish, Boston Celtics, New York Yankees and the Chicago Bears.
His favorite past time was spending time spoiling and loving his grandkids to the moon and back.
He is survived by his loving wife Donna; his daughter, Lisa (Brad) Konopasek; his son, Matt Kelley all of Remsen; his grandchildren, Brayden, Sophia, Scarlett & Charlotte Konopasek all of Remsen; two brothers, Pat Kelley of Kingsland, TX, Steve Kelley of Le Mars, IA; five sisters, Bev (Brad) Kuiken of Le Mars, IA, Kathy Kelley, Deb DeBoer both of Remsen, Karen Miller and Jamie Kelley both of Le Mars, IA; brothers and sisters-in-law, Carol (Dave) Carey of Cherokee, IA, JoAnn (Joe) Block of Le Mars, IA, Bill (Joanie) Tentinger of Le Mars, IA, Sharon Tentinger of Remsen, IA and Anita (Jiggs) Jorgensen of Spencer, IA.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Patrick & LaVonne Kelley; his infant daughter, Lucille Faye Kelley; his brother, Mike Kelley; his in-laws, Roman & Lucille Tentinger and brother-in-law, Jim Tentinger.
Casket bearers will be Tim De Boer, Jay Kuiken, Jim Block, John Block, Nathan Tentinger, Travis Tentinger and Ben Warren.
