Barbara Ann (Feeck) Pick

Barbara (Feeck) Pick, 53 years old, of Correctionville, IA, died Monday, March 14, 2011, with her family at her side at her home in Correctionville, IA.
      A memorial service will be at 10:30 a.m., Friday, March 18, 2011, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Remsen with Rev. William McCarthy officiating.  Burial will follow in the St. Mary’s Catholic Cemetery in Remsen.  Visitation will be anytime after 4 p.m. on Thursday, March 17, 2010.  There will be a parish rosary at 5 p.m., and vigil prayer service at 7 p.m., all at the Fisch Funeral Home & Monument in Remsen.
      Barb was born Aug. 6, 1957, at LeMars, IA, the daughter of William Feeck & Ruth (Gabel) Feeck-Thiel.  Barb was raised and educated in Remsen.  She graduated from St. Mary’s Catholic High School in 1975.   
      On Oct. 15, 1977 she married Gary Pick at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Remsen, IA.  She worked at Ruth’s Café in Remsen for a few years.  She then stayed home to raise her children.  She later moved to Sioux City and became a CNA and worked at various Nursing Homes in Sioux City.  Working with elderly people was her passion.
      Barb loved rummage sales, taking pictures & visiting with friends.  Barb prided herself on her grandchildren and loved being a grandmother most of all.
      Survivors include:  Her special friend Jose De (Papa) Martinez of Correctionville, IA; Three children, Jesse Pick & his wife Shelly & their children Carson, Colin & J.J., Rusty Pick & his special friend Erica Cypher all of Marcus, IA, Jodi Pick & her special friend Brent Lennon & their children Brenna & Owen of Correctionville, IA; One sister, Marlene Klein of Remsen; Her step-father, Bernard “Shorty” Thiel of Remsen; nieces & nephews, Steve Klein, Tracy Wurth, Tim Klein, Ryan Feeck & Jamie Krienert all of Remsen, IA.
      Preceded by: her parents, one sister Marilyn Feeck, one brother Scott Feeck & one brother-in-law Donald Klein.
