Memorial service will be at 2 p.m., Friday, Dec. 9, 2022 at Fisch Funeral Home & Monument in Remsen with Pastor William Dole officiating.  Burial will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery in Granville, IA.  Visitation with family present will be from 1 P.M - 2 P.M. on Friday.

Danielle was born Jan. 24, 1967 in Knoxville, IA, the daughter of Michael and Joan (Bormann) Niichel.  She was raised and educated in Granville, IA, graduating from Spalding Catholic in 1985. She then attended NCC in Sheldon, IA for nursing and Westmar for general studies.

She then began her nursing career in Sheldon, IA, at Sanford and various other care facilities. She later lived in Charles City, IA, where she did pediatric home care until she retired due to failing health. 

Danielle enjoyed reading, poetry, camping and spending time with her family. She also enjoyed thrifting, garage sales and auctions. She was very generous and caring, and spent her life nursing others. 

Survivors include her daughter, Allyson Niichel of Spencer, IA, one grandson, Tanner (Niichel) Haverdink of Maurice, IA; brother, Wayne (Lynn) Niichel of Brandon, SD; sisters, Ann (Matt) Redinius of Kingsley, IA, Annette (John) Ouverson of Urbandale, IA; nieces and nephews, Tristen, Brayden, Payton, Emily, Rylann, Jacob and Jaxson.

She was preceded by her parents, Michael and Joan; her infant daughter Dena Niichel.
