David Edward Jaminet, 67 of Remsen, Iowa died Dec. 13, 2017 at Mercy Medical Center in Sioux City, Iowa from complications of Diabetes.
Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:30 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 16, 2017 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Remsen with Rev. William McCarthy officiating and Rev. Pat O’Kane concelebrating. Burial will follow in the St. Mary’s Cemetery in Remsen. Visitation with family present will be Friday from 4-7 p.m. There will be a parish rosary at 5 p.m. and a vigil prayer service at 7 p.m. all at Fisch Funeral Home & Monument in Remsen. Dave was born on July 12, 1950 to Ed and Helen (Arens) Jaminet in LeMars, Iowa. He was raised and educated in Remsen, Iowa, graduating from St. Mary’s High School in 1968.
He lived in Remsen his whole life and did farming and trucking.
He was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Remsen, Okoboji Harley Owners Group (H.O.G.) and the Saddle Club.
Dave loved spending time with Louise, his nieces, farming, trucking through the years, rolling across the Ho Chi Minh trail, going on his motorcycle trips, watching westerns, John Deere Equipment, and Chevrolet vehicles.
Survivors include his significant other Louise Tadlock, four siblings Dan (Diane) Jaminet, Rose (Don) Majeres, Carol (Jerry) Braun, and Paul Jaminet all of Remsen. Five nieces Beth (Eric) Gengler, Jill (Josh) Leners, Natalie (Jeremy) Eldred, Courtney (Josh) Hill, Tiffany (Steve) Konz. Eight great nephews Ross Gengler, Eli and Ean Eldred, Mason and Lincoln Hill and Brek, Dade and Boyd Konz and three great nieces Beca Gengler, Eko Eldred and Elsie Leners, several aunts & uncles and the Tadlock family.
Preceded in death by his parents; maternal grandparents Jim and Mollie Arens, paternal grandparents John and Catharine Jaminet.
Casket Bearers will be Beth Gengler, Natalie Eldred, Courtney Hill, Tiffany Konz, Jill Leners, Ross Gengler, Beca Gengler and Eli Eldred
Honorary bearers will be Lavern Jaminet, Chuck Herrig, Ron Hagert and Steve Staab.
