David Fisch, 60 years old, of Granville, IA, died Wednesday, Feb. 4, 2015, at his home in Granville, IA.
Funeral service will be at 10:30 a.m., Friday, Feb. 13, 2015, at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Granville with Rev. Terry Roder officiating. Burial will be in the St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery in Granville. Visitation will be anytime after 4 p.m. on Thursday, Feb. 12, 2015. There will be a parish rosary at 5 p.m., and vigil prayer service at 7 p.m., all at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Granville. Services have been entrusted to Fisch Funeral Home & Monument in Remsen.
Dave was born May 20, 1954, at Orange City, IA, the son of Emil and Saverna (Ahlers) Fisch. He was raised in the Granville area and attended St. Joseph School and graduated from Spalding High School in 1972. He was engaged in farming. He continued farming and also started working at Topline Feed and Supply in Germantown where he worked for many years. Dave was still farming up until his passing.
Dave was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church and Catholis Order of Foresters. He loved peanut M & M’s, he enjoyed fishing, Auctions, buying and trading farm equipment at sales and online. He loved spending time with all his friends.
Survivors include; his two sisters, Roseland (Gary) Fluent of Ponca, NE and Annette (Stan) Myers of DeSmet, SD.
Preceded by: his parents, his Aunts, Uncles and Cousins.
Casket bearers will be Mike Rabe, Dale Voss, Loren Klein, Harvey Grady, Alan Stamer, Bill Penning, Chris Hunt and Jim Schlichte.
