Diana D. Miller of Hubertus, WI. passed away Friday Dec. 29, 2023, comfortably at Keith and Dana Miller’s home in Port Washington, WI. at age 83.
Diana was born July 18, 1940, in Union County S.D., The daughter of Glen and Luella (nee Hoffman) Edwards. Diana was raised in Riverside and a proud graduate of Central High School in 1957.
Diana married Loren (Larry) P. Miller Oct. 28, 1961, at Immaculate Conception catholic church in Sioux City IA. Together the couple had two boys while living in Sioux City. Diana and Larry relocated because of her husband’s long career in banking to several locations starting in 1982. Ada OK. 82-89, Maumelle ARK. 89-92, Cape Girardeau MO. 92-98, and finally to Port Washington, WI in 1998. Diana lost the love of her life Larry on Nov. 20, 1999, while living in Port Washington. Diana met Bob Smith who became a very special friend and companion. Diana resided on Friess Lake in Hubertus until late 2023 at which time moved in with Keith and Dana of Port Washington.
Diana savored warm weather and living near the water spending time on the lake, enjoying her variety of flowers and watching the many songbirds and waterfowl she often fed. She was a great athlete who took advantage of all the golf courses wherever she lived making lifetime friendships, an Oklahoma State Cowboys fan and die-hard Green Bay Packers backer. She asked to be remembered for how much she loved her entire family, her love of watching her grandson’s sporting events and devotion to the Packers. Above all Diana devoted herself to family and her little Morkie companion Mattie Lou.
Diana’s memory will be forever treasured by her sons Kirk (Ginni S.) Miller of Grafton and Keith (Dana D.) Miller of Port Washington; grandchildren Samuel Miller, Janelle (Ben) Schneider, Henry (Megan Depies) Steiner and Thatcher Riggin; she is survived in death by her two sons, her grandkids, and her siblings Johnny (Jolene) Edwards of Sioux City, Randy (Sue) Edwards of Jefferson SD, and Rosella (Gary) Mannion of Rancho Cucamonga CA. Sister-in-laws; Carolyn Manna of Urbandale IA, Janice Sage of Paullina IA and Kaye (Rodney) Carlson of Paullina IA. and many nieces and nephews.
Diana was preceded in death by her loving husband Larry, parents Glen and Luella, brothers Glen and Dwayne, sisters Lorraine, Madonna, Joyce, and Patrica, father-in-law Lawerence, mother-in-law Catherine and sister-in-law Phillys.
Diana will be laid to rest next to her husband Larry at St. Joseph’s cemetery in Granville IA. As a loyal contributor to St. Jude’s Children Hospital, rather than flowers please send your donation to St. Jude’s in her memory.
