Diane Katherine Jaminet, age 75, of Remsen, passed away suddenly on May 16, 2025.
Memorial mass will be 10:30 a.m. on Friday, May 30, 2025 at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Remsen with Rev. Timothy Pick officiating. Burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery at a later date. Visitation with family present will be 4-6:30 p.m. on Thursday with a rosary & vigil prayer service at 5 p.m. all at Fisch Funeral Home & Monument in Remsen. Visitation will resume on Friday from 9:30 a.m. until 10:15 a.m. at the funeral home. www.fischfh.com
Diane was born on April 1, 1950, in Le Mars, Iowa, to Magnus and Leona (Thommes) Goebel. She was raised in a warm and loving home and received her education through the Spalding Catholic School System, where her strong faith and values began to take root and grow.
In August of 2017, Diane married the true love of her life, Daniel Jaminet. Their years together were filled with joy, laughter, and shared devotion.
Diane began her career at Harker’s and, through various business transitions, remained a loyal and dedicated employee. She concluded her working years with Gorges Quick To Fix, where she was respected by her colleagues and known for her reliability and kind spirit.
Family was the center of Diane’s life. She was a devoted mother to Ron Heuertz & Deb Hoover of Pocahontas, IA; Randy (Jodi) Heuertz of Webb City, MO; Sheri (Mike) Porter of Le Mars, IA; Megan Lori Jameson & Jeremy Katz of Rock Valley, IA; and Lisa (Matt) Phillips of Brandon, SD. She was a proud and loving grandmother to Samantha Heuertz & Stan Helmer and her great-grands, Hatti and Casen, Jeremy Heuertz, Jessica Heuertz, Austin & Brenda Heuertz and her great-grands, Emma, Claire, and Charlotte; Dusty & Steven Hartman and her great-grands Kiera, Hunter and Kyllian; Danika Heuertz; Whitney Porter & Joe VanderKooi and her great-grands-Willow, Aspen, and Rowan; Ty Porter and Maxwell Phillips.
Diane is also survived by her loving husband, Daniel Jaminet of Remsen; siblings, Bob (Rita) Goebel of Granville, Don (Marian) Goebel of Sioux Falls, SD; Mary Ann (Roger) Van Surksum of Pensacola, FL, Leonard (Elaine) Goebel of Olathe, KS, and Carol (Jon) Oolman of Lead, SD, sister-in-law, Rose (Don) Majeres of Remsen, IA, brother-in-law, Jerry Braun & Beth Schuetz of Remsen, IA; family friend, Louise Tadlock; nieces, Beth (Eric) Gengler, Jill (Josh) Leners, Natalie Eldred, Courtney (Josh) Hill, Tiffany (Steve) Konz; great-nieces, Elsie, Eko, Beca; great-nephews, Mason, Lincoln, Greyson, Eli, Ean, Ross, Brek, Dade, Boyd.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Magnus and Leona Goebel; older brother, Leo (Jackie) Goebel; brothers-in-law, Paul Jaminet, Dave Jaminet; sister-in-law, Carol Braun.
Diane will be remembered for her gentle heart, warm laugh, and unwavering love for those around her. She had a way of making everyone feel welcome and cared for. Whether it was time spent with her grandchildren, a phone call to check in, or a kind word at just the right moment, Diane’s presence was a gift to all who knew her.
