On November 25, 1943 she married John T. “Jack” Ney at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Granville, IA. Doralice was a homemaker for many years. When Doralice started working outside the home she was employed at the Royal Dutch Bakery in Orange City, Firelite Lanes and Lounge and OK Cafe in Alton. Many hours were spent outside with Jack, taking care of the yard and flowers, or sitting on their swing. She loved visiting with family and friends in person and on the phone. Strong in her faith, she attended daily mass with her rosary beads in hand, and lit the vigil light anytime someone needed extra prayers.
