Earl Loutsch, 90 of Remsen, IA passed away on July 14, 2016 at Orange City Area Health System Hospital.
Funeral services will be 10:30 am Monday, July 18, 2016 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Remsen with Rev. William McCarthy officiating. Burial will follow in the St. Mary’s Cemetery in Remsen. Visitation with family present will be 4-8 p.m. on Sunday, July 17, 2016, there will be a parish rosary at 5 p.m. and a vigil prayer service at 7 p.m. all at Fisch Funeral Home & Monument in Remsen. Earl was born on November 10, 1925 in Remsen, Iowa, the son of John and Clara (Niehus) Loutsch. He attended St. Mary’s school in Remsen. He then worked on the farm with his dad. On June 20, 1949 Earl married Stella Kasner. He continued to farm on the family farm until he retired in 1987. The farm has since been honored as century farm. The couple had three children, Jack, Joanne and Mary. Stella passed away on August 5, 1965. Earl married Lois (Alesch) Lenertz on November 26, 1966. The couple had one son, Robert. Lois died April 17, 2016.
He was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church. He enjoyed raising quarter horses, playing cards, and coffee at Mrs. B’s.
Earl is survived by his children; Joanne (Roger) Hubner of Mountain Grove, MO, Bob (Leslie) Loutsch of Remsen, Iowa, Lois’s children; Dick (Susan) Lenertz of Highlands Ranch, Colorado, Laurie (Paul) Ritz of Bloomington, Minnesota, Connie (Rick) Pavek of Faribault, Minnesota, and Diane Lenertz of Lytton, Iowa; twenty three grandchildren, thirty-four great grandchildren. One sister, LaDonna (Thomas McClintock) of Omaha, Nebraska, one daughter-in-law, Glenda Loutsch of Ankeny, IA; one son-in-law Mike Price of Sioux City, IA, one step son-in-law Ron (Barb) Schnoes of LeMars, IA.
Preceding Earl in death were his parents, son Jack Loutsch, daughter
Mary Price, step daughter Kristine Schnoes, Two brothers, Elmer (Cyrilla) Loutsch and Richard (in infancy) Two sisters, Martha (Michael) R. Gengler and Norma Ann (in infancy).
Casket bearers will be Jason & Justin Loutsch, Craig Ritz, Nathan Harris, Zach Walsh, Nick Oberender.
Honorary bearers will be the rest of his grandchildren.
