Francis Leroy Schuetz

Francis Leroy Schuetz, age 74 of Milford, IA and formerly of Remsen, IA passed away March 2, 2014 at the Milford Nursing Center from metastatic bone cancer.
He had donated his body to the Sanford School of Medicine at The University of South Dakota School in Vermillion, SD.
Graveside service will be 11 a.m. Monday, Aug. 2, 2021 at St. Mary’s Cemetery in Remsen, IA, with Deacon Rick Roder officiating.
He was born Nov. 22, 1940 in Plymouth County the son of Albert & Dorothy (Meyer) Schuetz. He attended St. Mary’s school until the 8th grade then farmed with his father. He enlisted in the Iowa National Guard out of Cherokee for 6 years. Over the years he worked at Marcus Lumber, his own company Schuetz Cleaning Service and International Paper in Sioux City, IA.
He is survived by his son, Steven Schuetz of Marcus, IA; his special friend Kay Buchanan of Milford, IA; 2 nephews, Lyle & Rich Schuetz
