Howard K. Lang, 85, of Remsen, IA, passed away Thursday, July 12, 2018 at Orange City Area Health Systems Hospital in Orange City, IA.
Funeral Service will be 10:30 am on Tuesday, July 17, 2018 at St. Paul Evangelical Lutheran Church in Remsen, with Pastor Gary Olson officiating. Burial will be in the Remsen Community Cemetery. Graveside military honors will be conducted by Post 220 American Legion and Post 3328 V.F.W. Of Remsen. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service on Tuesday at the Church. Services have been entrusted to the Fisch Funeral Home & Monument of Remsen.
Howard was born on April 7, 1933 to Albert & Irene (Stockstill) Lang at LeMars, IA. He was raised on farm north of Remsen. He attended both country school and LeMars Community High School, graduating in 1951. After high school Howard attended Iowa State University for a short time before he entered the U.S. Army. After his discharge he then returned to Remsen to Farm with his family.
He was a member of St. Paul Evangelical Lutheran Church. He loved farming, livestock and especially his cats. Howard loved all wildlife in general.
He is survived by his sister, Marge of Sarasota Springs, New York and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his brothers, Wayne, Roger and Clyde, his sisters, Rheta and Grace.
Casket Bearers will be, Butch Snyder, Kyle, Randy, Shaun, Brett and Kelly Niehus.
