James Staab, 75, years old, of LeMars, IA, passed away at Good Samaritan Society Saturday, March 5, 2016.
Funeral service will be at 10:30 a.m., Wednesday, March 9, 2016, at All Saints Catholic Parish St. Joseph's Church in LeMars with Rev. Kevin Richter officiating. Burial will be in the Calvary Cemetery in LeMars. Visitation with family present will be any time after 4 p.m. on Tuesday, March 8, 2016. There will be a vigil prayer service at 7 p.m. all at All Saints Catholic Church in LeMars.
Jim was born on Feb. 22, 1941, at LeMars, IA the son of Louis & Louise (Stoffel) Staab. He was raised in LeMars until the age of 8 then moved to Glenwood, IA. At the age of 18 he then returned to LeMars. He worked at several different jobs in LeMars over the years including 20 years at the Sheltered Workshop.
Survivors include: his one brother, Eugene Staab of Colorado Springs, CO; two sisters, Mary Lou (Marv) Moos of Granville, IA, Delores Autry of Dallas, TX; one sister-in-law, Phyllis Staab of California; several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by, his parents, two sisters, Evelyn (Alec) Barr, Edna Schleismann, two brothers, Donald Staab, Wendell (Pat) Staab, one sister-in-law, Maggie Staab.
Casket Bearers will be Dave Moos, John Autry, David Autry, Joe Konz, Rick Van Heuvelew, Charles Staab.
