Jeanne Wiebke

September 22, 1956 — March 14, 2023

Remsen, Iowa

Jeanne Wiebke age 66 of Remsen, IA passed away on Tuesday, March 14, 2023 at Happy Siesta Health Care Center in Remsen, IA.

Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:30 a.m. Saturday, March 18, 2023 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Remsen, IA with Fr. Timothy Pick officiating and Deacon Doug Heeren assisting. Burial will follow at the St. Mary’s Cemetery in Remsen, IA. Visitation with family present will be 9 a.m. on Saturday at Fisch Funeral Home & Monument in Remsen, IA. Services have been entrusted to Fisch Funeral Home & Monument of Remsen.

Jeanne was welcomed to the loving arms of Carel & La Donna (Weiler) Connor when she was born September 22, 1956.  She was raised mostly in Kingsley and graduated from Kingsley-Pierson High School in 1974. She then attended The University of Iowa and graduated with a B.S.W. in 1978.

After college she married Scott Feeck on June 3, 1978, with whom she had 2 children Ryan & Jamie. She and Scott later divorced. She married Dave Wiebke on July 13, 2009. Dave passed away November 21, 2021.

She worked for the Iowa Department of Human Services as a social worker and supervisor from 1980 until she retired in 2016.

She enjoyed the seclusion of life on the farm, planting flowers, and caring for her many “farm” cats. Jeanne loved reading and listening to her favorite music. She loved the sun beating on her face on a hot summer day.

Although she was never much of a baker, she did enjoy cooking and was notorious for always picking the first recipe on the left-hand side of the cookbook. She never made the same recipe twice much to her husband and children's dismay.

What she loved most was being a grandma. She spoiled her grandkids rotten. She was always ready to play whether she was being taught in school or chasing butterflies outside. She read countless books and they sang and danced. She also loved a good nerf gun battle.

Through her life Jeanne had a lot of good times with her girlfriends and was always the first one to laugh at herself. Even as her disease progressed, she used laughter where others would have only found anger and frustration.

She is survived by her son, Ryan (Melissa) Feeck and their children, Bella Arens, Lillian & Nora Feeck; her daughter, Jamie (Grant) Krienert and their children, Gavin and Veda Krienert all of Remsen, IA.

She was welcomed to eternal life by so many wonderful friends and family but most of all her husband Dave, her parents, Carel and Donna Connor, and her sister Carol Ann.

Casket bearers will be Keith Harvey, Kieth Tullis, Timmy Graff, Rich Wiebke and Steve Klein.

Special thank you to the caregivers at Happy Siesta. Thank you for taking such good care of her and showing her so much love.

She will always be cherished and remembered. Cheers to her dancing in heaven.
