James Paul Braun, 62, of Marcus, IA died on Oct. 31, 2019 at Heartland Care Center in Marcus.
Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 5, 2019 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Remsen, IA with Father William McCarthy officiating. Burial will follow in the St. Mary’s Cemetery in Remsen, IA. Visitation with family present will be 4-7 p.m. Monday. There will be a vigil prayer service and rosary at 5 p.m. all at Fisch Funeral Home & Monument in Remsen. Visitation will resume 9:30 a.m. on Tuesday at the funeral home.
Jim was born on April 10, 1957 to Arthur and Doris (Staab) Braun in LeMars, IA. He was raised in Neptune, IA and Marcus, IA. He received his education from Marcus Community School graduating in 1976. Jim lived in Marcus and worked at Joe’s Ready Mix/GGC Concrete as a Ready Mix Driver.
He was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Remsen. He enjoyed fishing, family, close friends, spending time in his workshop and his antique car.
Survivors include his mother, Doris of Remsen, IA; His siblings, Roger (Renee) Braun of Cherokee, IA, Richard (Rose Mary) Braun of Omaha, NE, Jerry (Carol) Braun of Remsen, Fred (Misty) Braun of Elk Point, SD, Bill (Brenda) Braun of LeMars, IA, Marilyn (Marty) Roarty of Elkhorn, NE, Russ (Melodie) Braun of Adel, IA, numerous nieces and nephews.Preceded by, his father Arthur J. Braun.
Casket Bearers will be his six brothers.
