John L. Nierman, age 78 of Moorhead, MN, formerly of Coleridge, NE died on Tuesday, June 9, 2026 after a long illness.

Burial will take place at 1 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 8, 2026 at the Amherst Cemetery in Marcus, IA with his brother Rev. Stephen Nierman officiating. Services have been entrusted to Fisch Funeral Home & Monument of Marcus, IA.

John was born on Feb. 24, 1948 the son of Martin F. & Caryl (Fry) Nierman. John was a drug store manager for many years.

He is survived by two brothers, Martin E. Nierman of Omaha, NE and Rev. Stephen L. Nierman of Vandalia, OH.

John was preceded in death by his parents.
