Judy A. Wendel, 74 of Remsen, Iowa died Wednesday, March 25, 2026 at Casa de Paz Healthcare in Sioux City, Iowa.

Funeral services will be held 10:30 Tuesday, March 31 at Fisch Funeral Home & Monument in Remsen with Fr. Timothy Pick officiating. A visitation will take place 1 hour prior to the funeral on Tuesday. Service are entrusted to Fisch Funeral Home & Monument in Remsen, IA. fischfh.com

Judy Wendel was born December 4, 1951 in Rochester, Minnesota, the daughter of William and Florence (Wictor) Wendel. She lived with her parents in Austin, Minnesota until moving to the Wictor family farm north of Remsen. Later they moved into Remsen.

She attended both St Mary’s and Remsen-Union schools graduating from Remsen-Union High School in 1970. Judy then attended Westmar College in Le Mars.

She lived in Remsen after college until her parents passing. Judy continued to live in Remsen until 2015 when she moved into assisted care in Cherokee. In March of 2022, she moved to Casa de Paz in Sioux City.

Judy was preceded in death by her parents.
