Kathi Bauler, 62 years old, of Remsen, IA, passed away Friday, June 22, 2012 at Floyd Valley Hospital in LeMars, IA.
Funeral service will be at 10 a.m., Monday, June 25, 2012, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Remsen with Rev. Roger Linnan officiating & Deacon Rick Roder assisting. Burial will be in the St. Mary’s Catholic Cemetery in Remsen. Visitation will be anytime after 4 p.m. on Sunday, June 24, 2012. There will be a parish rosary at 5 p.m. and a vigil prayer service at 7 p.m. all at Fisch Funeral Home & Monument in Remsen.
Kathi was born Nov. 18, 1949, at Sheldon, IA, the daughter of Eugene & Colleen (Daniels) Harte. As a young child she moved with her family to Remsen and attended St. Mary’s Catholic School graduating in 1968. Over the years she held several jobs including, banking, insurance & her last job was at Staples in Marcus & Orange City where she worked for many years.
Kathi enjoyed her grandchildren, dogs, reading, crossword puzzles, golf, gardening & her her beloved “Huskers”.
Survivors include; her son, Kevin (Amber) Gengler of Remsen; her daughter, Erin (John) Blankenship of Hawarden, IA; five grandchildren, Kierra & Amaya Gengler, Jaylen, Kezden & Shayden Blankenship; one brother, Buck (Joan) Harte of Brandon, SD; one sister, Mary “Bee” (Scott) Carey of Loveland, CO; one sister-in-law, Debbie Harte of Redstone, CO; several nieces & nephews.
Preceded by: her parents; two brothers, Michael & Leon Harte, several aunts & uncles.
Casket Bearers will be: Jaylen & Kezden Blankenship, Mollie, Carrie & Michael W. Harte & Tom Dion.
