Keatan was born on November 25, 2011 in LeMars, IA to Nick and Karsa (Peterson) Dreckman.
Keatan attended MMCRU school and was a member of the class of 2030 in which he had numerous friends that he considered family. Keatan had such a love and passion for sports, especially football, wrestling and baseball. But most of his passion fell with anything outdoors, hunting, fishing and motocross.
Keatan had so much love for his family. He loved nothing more than responding to anything we said to him with “that’s crazy” or “bruh”, which drove everyone nuts! His dad being his best friend and motocross buddy. His mom being his chauffer, shopping buddy and personal chef of macaroni and tomato juice. He loved begging for anything and everything expensive from hunting gear to $13,000 snap on tool boxes.
He loved his sister and especially loved driving her crazy and tagging along with her and Garrit any chance he could. He loved to exchange coffee dates for rides with his sister any chance he got and hanging out in her room. He looked up to and had so much love for his big brother, Kayson. Wanting to wrestle him any chance he got and talking about dirt bikes and trucks. Many times, telling his big brother the next time he saw him he would kick his butt and Kayson knowing one of those times it would probably be true.
When Keatan wasn’t playing his playstation or watching youtube or tik tok you could find him at the snap on truck on Mondays spending all of his money, outside at grandpa’s shop welding, helping with yardwork especially when he got to drive something or getting to practice driving on gravel roads. His many calls to, grandma Barb “can you take me here, can you buy me this?” and “how much are you going to pay me”
Keatan had an immense passion for hunting and fishing, he spent most weekends with his buddy Jay where he shot many turkeys and having them mounted, deer hunting and catching a channel cat so big it almost pulled him out of the boat. He met and developed relationships with many people in the hunting community in which he became very close with.
Keatan was immensely loved and will be missed by many especially his dad, mom, Kayson and Kaleigha.
