Linda Lea Nemmers, age 76 of Le Mars, IA passed away on Wednesday, Oct. 22, 2025 surrounded by family at Sanford USD Medical Center and Hospital in Sioux Falls, SD.

Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, Oct. 28, 2025 at All Saints Parish-St. James Catholic Church in Le Mars, IA with Father Doug Klein officiating. Burial will follow at Calvary Cemetery in Le Mars. Visitation with family present will be 4:15 p.m. to 7 p.m., rosary will be at 4 p.m. and vigil prayer service at 7 p.m. all on Monday, Oct. 27, 2025 at the church. Visitation will resume 9:30 a.m. Tuesday at the church.  Services have been entrusted to Fisch Funeral Home & Monument in Remsen, IA. www.fischfh.com

Linda was born Jan. 11, 1949 in Le Mars, IA the daughter of Lee & Kathryn (Orban) Schipper. She was raised and educated in Le Mars and attended Gehlen Catholic School, graduating in 1967.

On April 24, 1971 she married her high school sweetheart, Nicholas Nemmers at St. James Catholic Church in Le Mars, IA. The couple made their home in Le Mars where they raised their 6 daughters and also Linda ran a daycare out of her home for many many years.

Linda was a member of All Saints Parish-St. James Catholic Church and Catholic Daughters of America. Linda enjoyed reading, baking, Tootsie Rolls and was a avid Coke a Cola Collector. She also loved spending time with her family and having them all over to their house.

Survivors include her husband Nicholas of Le Mars, IA; six daughters, Shelly Schipper of Phoenix, AZ, Paulette (Kevin) Skarich of Davenport, IA, Julie (Jason) Stock of Le Mars, IA, Nicole (Ryan) Hoekstra of Maurice, IA, Jackie (Chip) Hoag of Le Mars, IA, Christina (TJ) Obbink of Le Mars, IA; 14 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren; her siblings, Sharon (Dean) Boettger of Marshaltown, IA, Wayne (Marleen) Schipper of Le Mars, IA, Merle (Kay) Schipper of Le Mars, IA, Diane Schipper of Sioux City, IA, Deb (Brian) Hettwer of Sioux City, IA; She also leaves behind many many daycare kids who called her “Grandma”.

She was precede in death by her parents Lee & Kathryn Schipper and her In-Laws, Orville & Dorothy Nemmers.

Casket bearers will be Sam Skarich, Austen Stock, Tyson Weiler, Trace Obbink, Colton Hoag, Ayden Hoag.

Honorary bearers will be Jaxen Hoag, Trevor Obbink, Trenton Obbink.
