Michael Edward Beck

Michael “Mike” Beck, 72 years old, of Omaha, NE passed away on Wednesday, October 1, 2025, while on vacation in Georgia .

Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:30 a.m., Thursday, October 9, 2025 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Remsen, IA with Father Timothy Pick officiating and Deacon Doug Heeren assisting. Burial will follow at the St. Mary’s Cemetery in Remsen. Visitation with family present will be 4-7 p.m. Wednesday, there will be a parish rosary and vigil prayer service at 5 p.m. all at Fisch Funeral Home & Monument in Remsen. Visitation will resume 1 hour prior to the funeral on Thursday at the funeral home.

Mike was born on Sept. 26, 1953, the son of Harry & Ann (Berendes) Beck. He was raised in Remsen and Granville, Iowa. Mike graduated from Spalding Catholic High School in 1971. He then went on to USD, receiving a BS in 1975. Mike continued his education at the University of Nebraska in Omaha receiving an Associate degree in Accounting in 1989.

He was a member of St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church of Omaha, NE. He enjoyed golfing and was a fan of the Detroit tigers and the Iowa Hawkeyes. He loved being “Uncle Mike” and spending time with his family.

Mike is survived by his siblings, Debby (Rich) Ruden of Marcus, IA, Jennifer (Merlin) Schau of Carroll, IA, Pat (Kathy) Beck of Spencer, IA and Julie (David) Adams of Kennesaw, GA; 11 nieces and nephews; 19 great nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Harry and Ann Beck

Casket bearers will be his nephews.
