Patricia Ann “Trish” Curtis, age 74 of Cherokee, IA, died from a prolonged illness on Sunday, April 26, 2026, at Sanford USD Medical Center in Sioux Falls, SD.
Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:30 a.m. Saturday May 2, 2026 at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Cherokee, with Father Dan Rupp officiating. Burial will follow in Mount Calvary Cemetery in Cherokee, IA.Visitation will be 5-7 p.m. on Friday at the church. Arrangements have been entrusted to Fisch Funeral Home & Monument of Remsen and Marcus, IA.
Patricia Ann Curtis, born on April 30, 1951, the daughter of Robert and Margaret (Henke) George in Fort Riley, Kansas. She was raised and educated in Cherokee, Iowa, graduating from Cherokee Washington High School in 1969. She then worked for Bell Telephone as an operator.
On Nov. 20, 1971, she was married to Harlan Lee Curtis at Maryhill Catholic Church. The couple made their home in Cherokee where they raised their family. Over the years she worked at her own business’s, Trish’s Silks and Flowers and the Curtis House Tea Room. She also worked 12 years at Cherokee State Bank and also other businesses around the community.
She was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church. Trish enjoyed flowers and gardening, arts, crafts, quilting and family genealogy. She loved family gatherings, family trips to Cass Lake, MN, trying new foods and looked forward to new recipes..
She is survived by her husband of 55 years Harlan of Cherokee; her children; Glenn (Tammy) Curtis, Tina (Bryan) Riedemann, Christy Curtis, Steve (Jennifer) Curtis, Austin Curtis and Zoe Curtis all of Cherokee, Iowa; 10 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren and 2 on the way; her siblings, Sandy Thomas of Ruthven, IA, Lorrie (Craig) Lockwood of Cherokee, IA, Nick (Tanya) George of Cherokee; numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Margaret; brother-in-law, Cory Thomas; parents-in-law, Harry & Violet Curtis.
Casket bearers will be Cory Collins, Danny Curtis, Curtis Riedemann, Seth Curtis, Levi George, Justin Thomas.
