Patrick Sheehan, 61, of Remsen, died Tuesday, December 13, 2016 at Mercy Medical Center in Sioux City.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 am Saturday, December 17, 2016 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Remsen, IA with Father William McCarthy officiating. Burial will follow at St. Mary’s Cemetery in Remsen, IA. Visitation with family present will be from 9 a.m. until service time Saturday at Fisch Funeral Home & Monument in Remsen. Services have been entrusted to Fisch Funeral Home & Monument of Remsen.
Pat was born February 8, 1955, at Le Mars IA the son of Leslie and Norma (Loutsch) Sheehan. He was raised and educated in the Remsen area and graduated from Remsen-Union High School in 1973.
On July 31, 1976 he married Mary Harnack at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Remsen. He then continued to farm south of Remsen. Mary died Nov. 2, 2013.
Pat loved farming, spending time with his grandchildren, and tinkering and rebuilding anything with wheels, with his son.
Survivors include: two children, Scott (Jill) Sheehan and their two daughters Annie and Laura, of Remsen, Julie (Tim) Langel and their son Trigg of LeMars; his mother, Norma Tentinger of Remsen; his sister Madonna Shelso of Sioux Falls, S.D.; his sister-in-law Renee Sheehan; his stepbrother Mike (Rochelle) Tentinger of Remsen; his stepsister, Peggy (Blain) Butner, of Arlington, Va; mother-in-law Pat Harnack; three sisters-in-law, Janet (Mike) Augustine, of Sioux City, Ann (Randy) Gengler, of Oyens, Lisa (Chris) Feller of Woodbine, one brother-in-law, Dave (Amy) Harnack, of LeMars; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his wife Mary, his father Leslie, his stepfather Emmert Tentinger, his brother Larry Sheehan, and his father-in-law Clayton Harnack.
Casketbearers will be, Dan and Neil Sheehan, Nathaniel, Patrick, and Matthew Shelso, and Shorty Tentinger.
