Richard Wayne Eade

October 28, 1937 — February 12, 2022

Richard Wayne Eade passed away at 84 years 3 months and 16 days old from Parkinson’s.   Rich was surrounded by his family and special nursing home family on Saturday, Feb. 12, 2022 at Happy Siesta Health Care Center in Remsen, IA. 

Visitation with some family present in Remsen will be Tuesday, Feb. 15, 2022 from 5-6 pm at Fisch Funeral Home & Monument.  Condolences maybe sent online at www.fischfh.com

Funeral service will be 11 a.m. Friday Feb. 18, 2022 at Campagna Funeral Home in Nashville, IL.  Burial will follow at Greenwood Cemetery in Nashville. Visitation with family present will be 9:30 a.m. until service time on Friday at the funeral home.  Condolences maybe sent online at www.campagnafuneral homes.com

Richard was born on October 28th, 1937 to Howard and Margaret (Lively) Eade.  He was the youngest son on 5 Eade boys born to Howard and Margaret at the Eade family farm better known as Eade corner in southern Illlnois.  He attended grade school and Jr. High in a one room school in Schwering, Ill. and graduated in 1951 and then attended Oakville High School and graduated in 1955.  Rich attended college at Southern Illinois University and graduated in 1960.  

He married his first wife, Norma Dean Lowe in 1956 in Nashville, Illinois.  They moved to Trenton, Illinois where Rich was the High School Ag teacher for years before moving to Orange City, Iowa. Richard worked at Siouxland Harvestor as a salesman and then later went to work for Diamond Vogel paints where he was a salesman for over 30 years. 

He married Marsha Buss in LeRoy, Illinois.   He then moved to Hull, Illinois where he spent his years in retirement until September of 2020 when he came back to NW Iowa and was a resident of Happy Siesta in Remsen, Ia. 

Rich loved spending time with his children, 6 grandchildren and his 14 great grandchildren.  He also was very active in barber shoppers and was President of the Illinois chapter and sang in many 4 piece harmonies in Minneapolis, Illinois and Florida. The staff at Happy Siesta loved having him sing to them in his room or to the whole gang.  He loved entertaining.  Golfing was also important to Rich and he loved being on the golf course at Sioux Golf, LeRoy Country Club and Sebring Golf Course playing 18 holes or more.  He loved taking the grandkids to the course even if they were more interested in driving the cart then playing golf. When Richard wasn’t singing or golfing he was watching his favorite baseball team the St. Louis Cardinal or his favorite college football team, the Illinois Fighting Illini.  

Richard is survived by his son, Gary Allen and wife Lea (Mouw) of Dallas, Texas. Their children are, Nicholas ( Kelsey ) of St. Joe, MO and their children, Lauren and Lucas; Christopher (Brittney ) of Loveland, CO and their children, Ariah, Landon & Liam; Jeremy ( Megan ) of Sioux Falls, SD and their children, Paxton, Bexley & Hendrix; his daughter, Sandi Sue and her husband Steve Roder of Remsen, IA. Their children are Kristin ( Jared ) Steffen of Remsen, IA and their children, Jadyn, Kamden & Kezden; Justin Wayne of Dallas, TX; Jessica Canady and Paul Warnke of Orange City, IA and their children Rylee, Ryder, Reese and Garvin; his brother, Gordon Eade of Meridianville, AL; Many nieces and nephews

He was preceded in death by his parents, Howard and Margaret Eade, 3 brothers, Calvin and Angie Eade, Robert Eade and Kenneth and Alice Eade.  A sister in law Nona Grace Eade.   A nephew Phillip Eade and Rich’s first wife Norma Dean and her parents George and Louis Hassebrook.
