Terrence “Terry” Hodgen, 79 years old, of Granville, Iowa died unexpectedly Thursday, Aug. 27, 2015 as a result of a car accident.
Funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Thursday, Sept. 3, 2015 at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Granville with Rev. Terry Roder officiating. Burial will be in the St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery in Alton, IA at 11 a.m. on Friday. Visitation will be from 9 a.m. until service time Thursday. Terry was born September 25, 1935, the son of Everett & Marcella (Reith) Hodgen. He was raised and educated in Remsen and graduated 1955. He then entered the Army National Guard and served 6 years. He then farmed with his grandpa until 1963. In 1963 he moved to Granville and started Terry’s Repair and ran this business until the day he passed away.
On May 17,1973, he married Angelica Muro Diaz. The couple continued to live in Granville where they had a son Michael.
Terry was a member of NRA, he was a member of a Buick collector car club. He loved to go to auctions and was an avid collector of unique items.
Survivors include his son Michael Hodgen of Chicago, IL; his daughter, Lorie Witte of Colorado; numerous friends.
Preceded in death by his parents.
Casket bearers will be his Bill Klein, Marv Moos, Pat, Bob & Ken Ney, Chris Klein.
