Thomas Anthony Rodesch, age 73 of Remsen, IA, died Friday, May 16, 2025 at his home in Remsen.

Vigil Prayer Service will be at 2 p.m., Friday, May 23, 2025 at Fisch Funeral Home & Monument in Remsen with Rev. Timothy Pick officiating. Burial will follow in the St. Mary’s Catholic Cemetery in Remsen. Visitation with family present will be 1-2 p.m. on Friday. Tom was born Oct. 29, 1951 at Le Mars, IA the son of Anthony & Charlotte (Alesch) Rodesch. He was raised on a farm near Remsen and received his education from St. Mary’s Catholic Schools, graduating in 1969. He then continued farming the rest of his life.

On June 4, 2015 he married Katie Kahler at Remsen, IA.

Tom was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Remsen and Le Mars Sportsman’s Club. He loved farming and also enjoyed golfing, trapshooting, hunting and his PBR.

Survivors include his wife Katie of Remsen; his sister, Jan Tynan of Chicago, IL; brother, Steve (Stephanie) Rodesch of Burnsville, MN; brothers-in-law, Tom (Athena) Dooley of Plattsmouth, NE, Ed (Lori) Dooley of Bellevue, NE, Butch (Edona) Snyder of Remsen, IA, Scott (Kim) Snyder of Alton, IA, Doug Snyder of Plattsmouth, NE; several nieces & nephews.

Tom was preceded by his parents; brothers-in-law, Robert Tynan and Ron Dooley; father & mother-in-law, Ted & Donna Snyder.

Casket bearers will be Fred Bortscheller, Dave Bortscheller, Chuck Tentinger, Bob Puetz, Dick Halter and Colby Snyder.
