Timothy Clemens Schmit

July 11, 1967 — September 3, 2020

Timothy Clemens Schmit, loving husband and dedicated father, passed away at the age of 53 on September 3, 2020 in San Antonio, Texas.  

Prayer Service will be 5:30 p.m. Saturday, July 10, 2021 at Fisch Funeral Home & Monument with Fr. Tim Pick officiating and Deacon Doug Heeren assisitng.  Family will greet friends from 4-6 p.m. on Saturday.

He was born in Orange City, Iowa on July 11, 1967. Tim enjoyed a range of activities with his children, from watching reality tv shows to playing Uno games to basketball and having long meaningful conversations and a cold beer. Saturdays were favorite days for taco runs to Jalisco Mexican Grill, rounds of golf or making his famous tuna mac casserole. He was a good friend to many and was blessed with decades old friendships. Generosity, a big smile and hearty laugh as well as being the life of the party and his works to benefit the less fortunate were defining characteristics of Tim.  

He was a faithful member of Mission Point Christian Church and made every effort to live out the teachings of Christ.  

He is survived by his wife, Laura Schmit; children, Matthew Uresti and wife Perla, Samuel Schmit and Gabriella Schmit and fur baby, Mimi; father, Cyril Schmit; brothers, Doug (Elaine), Terry (Melissa), and Steve (Kim), sister, Linda (Mike) and numerous nieces and nephews

He was preceded in death by his mother, Clarice Ricke Schmit. Tim enjoyed strong bonds with his biological family members and those ties extended to his in-laws as well.
