Marcus, Iowa – Clarice Wiese, 90, of Council Bluffs, Iowa, formerly of Marcus, Iowa, passed away on Tuesday, August 20, 2024, at Ameilia Place Assisted Living in Council Bluffs. A Celebration of Life Service will take place at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, November 27, 2024, at Grace Methodist Church in Marcus. Rev. Dr. Travis Stevick will officiate.

Clarice Faye Bussanmas was born on February 22, 1934, in Grandville, Iowa to Harry and Susan (Goslinga) Bussanmas. After graduating from Hospers High School, she attended Methodist School of Nursing in Sioux City, Iowa. She was first employed as the Head RN at Sheldon Community Hospital and then the Head RN on a surgical ward at Mercy Hospital in Iowa City, while Jim attended dental school. She was united in marriage to Dr. James L Wiese on September 12, 1958, in Sioux City, Iowa. To this union their son, Thomas was born.

They lived in Marcus where Clarice was a Private Duty - Home Health Care Nurse until she retired from nursing. She was a member of Grace Methodist Church. Her interests included Hobby Club, gardening, showing her flowers at the Marcus Fair and collecting Precious Moments.

Survivors include her son, Thomas “Tom” Wiese, of Omaha, NE, daughter-In-law, Carla Wiese and grandchildren, Riley and Ashton Wiese all of Glenwood, Iowa, three nieces and one nephew.

Preceding Clarice in passing were her husband, Dr. James L. Wiese and her parents.
