Wilma Garner, 66 years old, of Remsen, IA died Sunday, March 29, 2015 at her Daughters home in Remsen.
The family will have a private service at a later date. Expressions of sympathy can be sent to 109 E. Nothem Ave., Remsen, Iowa. Arrangements have been entrusted to Fisch Funeral Home & Monument in Remsen.
Wilma was born on Dec. 22, 1948, at San Diego, CA the daughter of James & Georgia (Krantz) Combs. She was raised and educated in San Diego, CA where she graduated high school. After high school she attended nursing school in California. She then moved to Iowa where she did in home day care for 20 years. She cooked at Hugo’s, Floyd Valley Hospital and Plymouth County Jail before moving to Remsen and for the last four years she managed the St. Francis Apartments in Remsen.
Survivors include: her seven children, Joe Burkhead of Jacksonville, NC, Danette (Nathan) Weiler of Remsen, Bobbi Jo Cox of Jacksonville, NC, Misty Coffman of Laurel, DE, Michelle Butcher and her fiance Cody Keifer of Remsen, Dustin (Jennifer) Garner of Lawton, OK, Leslie Rosenkranz of Creston, IA; Twelve grandchildren, Raegan & Keaton Weiler, Tucker Marvin, Wyatt Coffman & Corbin Coenen, Kelli Garner, Danika Cruz, Jax & Jordon Butcher, Sage Keifer, Zayne & Sierra Garner; one nephew Michael Combs; sister-in-law, Susan Combs, Nieces, Amy (Eric) Henry, Lily & Camryn all of California.
Preceded in death by, her parents, two brothers, Keith & Michael Combs.
